Rocky Top Yachting

Privacy Policy

Effective October 12, 2026

This policy explains what information Rocky Top Yachting Services, LLC, doing business as Rocky Top Yachting, collects through rockytopyachting.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are a small, owner-operated business in Alcoa, Tennessee. We do not sell your information.

Information you give us

When you send Karl a note from any page, we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message. On the tenders pages, your Fit Finder answers (how many people and your boat’s length) are added to your note.

When you send your tender build to Karl in Walk the Dock, we collect your name, mobile number, email address, city and state or ZIP code, how you would like Karl to reach you, when you plan to buy, and the build itself: the model, tube material, color, equipment, motor plans, your note, and its prices.

Information collected automatically

  • With a tender build you send: the page you sent it from, the website that sent you to us, any campaign tags in the link you followed, and the steps you took in Walk the Dock, such as copying a build link. This tells us which pages and ads help people find us.
  • With a note you send: the page you sent it from.
  • Store activity: when you view a part or use the Parts Bench, our server records which part and which action. It is not linked to your name.
  • Server records: our hosting provider automatically records basic technical details such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. These are used to keep the site secure and working.
  • Spam protection: our forms check how quickly they were filled in, to stop automated junk messages.
  • Send limits: each form can be sent only a few times an hour from one connection. To count sends, we save a scrambled code made from your IP address. We never save the address itself, and the code cannot be turned back into it. Each code is deleted after one day and is used only to enforce these limits.
  • Visits:our site records which pages are viewed and for how long, which boats are opened, the steps taken in Walk the Dock, how the visit found the site (for example a Google search or a link), and when someone taps Call, Text, Email or Buy on eBay. To recognize a return visit, our site sets a cookie that holds a random code and lasts about a year. The code is not linked to your name, email or address, and you can delete it at any time in your browser settings. When Karl or our web team signs in to the site’s admin area, we save a scrambled code made from that internet connection so their own visits are left out of the counts. We never save the address itself.

Cookies and storage on your device

We do not use advertising cookies or cookies from other companies. We set small cookies of our own: a visit cookie, which holds a random code so we can count visits and recognize a return visit (it lasts about a year and is not linked to your name, email or address), and cookies for the site owner’s private admin area. The site also saves a few small items in your own browser so it works the way you expect: your tender build and the boats you picked to compare, your Fit Finder answers, your sound setting, and your place on a page so you can return to it. You can delete the cookies and these items at any time in your browser settings.

How we use your information

  • To answer your question and prepare a quote
  • To email you a confirmation with your tender build, when you send one with your email address
  • To follow up about the request you made
  • To keep the website secure and improve it

If you give us your phone number, we use it only to reply about your request. We do not send marketing texts.

Who helps us run the website

We share information only with the service providers that run the website for us, and only for that purpose:

  • Vercel: hosts the website
  • Supabase: stores the notes and tender builds you send us, and serves our product photos
  • Resend: delivers our emails to you and to us
  • YouTube: plays our videos in privacy-enhanced mode, and only after you press play

Parts are purchased in our eBay store. When you go to eBay, eBay’s own privacy notice applies to what you do there. We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights and safety.

How long we keep it

We keep your notes and tender builds for as long as we need them to serve you and to keep normal business records. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email info@RockyTopYachting.com or call 865-604-3282. Our site does not respond differently to Do Not Track browser signals, because we do not track you across other websites.

Children

Our website is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and restricted access to our records. No website is completely secure, so please do not send payment card numbers through our forms.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
